About the ARC

The Architectural Review Commission (ARC) reviews and makes recommendations on all developments (commercial or residential) in the Gateway Overlay District.

The ARC includes five regular members and two at-large alternate members appointed by the city manager, with advice and consent of the city council. ARC members are chosen not by location but expertise. Members may include licensed architects, landscape architects, professional planners or urban designers, historians, and developers, contractors, and realtors.

Members serve two-year terms and elect a chair and vice-chair to head the committee. They meet at least once a month, unless no new business is scheduled. See the ARC rules and regulations in Chapter 19.49 of the Cottonwood Heights municipal code.
