Public Works maintains 264 lane miles of City streets, 197 miles of city sidewalks, and over 2,200 street signs. The Streets Division works to provide Cottonwood Heights with the following services:

  • Road surface maintenance and preservation
  • Sidewalk, curb, and gutter maintenance
  • Street sign installation and repair
  • Snow Plowing
  • Street Sweeping

Snow Plowing

Public Works' goal is to clear all City streets 24 hours after a storm ends. Main streets are prioritized to maintain safe travel for the largest volume of traffic. Areas with lower traffic volumes may be cleared later. Road conditions cannot be guaranteed during long or high-intensity storms, but snow plow operations will continue until all streets have been cleared.
