The city's Appeals Hearing Officer (AHO) provides for fair and just treatment in administering local zoning ordinances. He or she also acts as an appeal authority for the city and can authorize land-use variances.

The Appeals Hearing Officer is appointed by the city manager with the advice and consent of the city council and meets only as needed. Learn more about the board of adjustment in Title 19.92 of the Cottonwood Heights municipal code.
