Economic Development efforts by Cottonwood Heights will focus on creating a business friendly atmosphere designed to improve the quality of life for city residents by recognizing the legitimate role of business in our community, partnering with adjoining cities where beneficial, encouraging desirable retail development that serves the public interest, implementing city codes and policies that facilitate business success, zoning for business appropriately through proper segregation from residential areas, promoting business opportunities that create employment centers and job opportunities at our office parks, and capitalizing on tourist trade elements associated with the recreational use of Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons.
