Summer Reading Challenge

It’s time again to join the Summer Reading Challenge at Whitmore Library and help us “Build a Better World.” It’s easy, and all you need to do is pick up a reading record, record your reading and activities and return your reading record in return for a prize.

Music & Fun

Don’t miss Music and Movement with a Twist! Bring your kids and come dance, move and connect with a local senior in a new, intergenerational weekly dance party! The summer schedule also includes Storytimes, Magic Shows, Mad Science, the University of Utah Youth Theater, the YoYo Man, and much more.  And get ready for BollyX Kids!

ZAP Passport

The Salt Lake County Library has also partnered with ZAP for the ZAP Kids Summer Passport. Between June 2 and Aug. 20, visit the destinations listed in the passport, for free entry to some events, discounted destinations like Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum, and library destinations like story time. If you get stamps from five different destinations, bring the passport back to the library to reserve your spot at the Final Destination Celebration at Clark Planetarium.

More info about each destination is available at www.slco.org/zap/kids-summer-passport.
