On Sept. 7-8, city staff made the big move from leased office space at 1265 E. Ft. Union Blvd. to the new home at 2277 E. Bengal Blvd.
The move took a big effort from city employees, who helped pack all the equipment, office furniture, records and other items up the hill to the new building.
CHPD also worked hard to transport all evidence and public safety equipment to the new location.
By Friday, Sept. 9, the new city hall opened for business, and on Sept. 13, the city council held its first meeting in the new council chambers.
On Sept. 29, a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house was held .
