The city council recently hired research group Y2 Analytics to conduct a survey to measure residents’ opinions of life in the city and satisfaction with city officials and staff.
A sample of registered voters was chosen to take part in the survey, which utilized mailed in and online surveys.
Y2 Analytics reports that the survey garnered as 13.6 percent response rate, which is relatively high for studies of this type.
A majority of respondents gave the city, staff and officials high marks.
The report also showed that 80 percent of residents feel the city is headed in the right direction, while 90 percent of the respondents would recommend Cottonwood Heights as a good place to live.
