2018 Fireworks Restrictions

2018 Fireworks Restrictions
Posted on 06/01/2018

With new changes in state law, and in preparation for celebrations in July, Cottonwood Heights reminds residents of fireworks restrictions in place for the summer.

Personal aerial fireworks are allowed, but not within 200 feet of restricted areas, which include public parks, schools and especially designated wildland interface lands that are prone to wildfire danger (see map).

Fireworks are prohibited except within two days prior and two days after July 4 and 24.

Additional restrictions are also applicable. No fireworks are permitted within restricted areas and no fireworks may be discharged between the hours of midnight and 11 a.m. on days that permit fireworks.

Please refer to the map below to reference restricted areas (click on map to see a more detailed view).
