2017 Summer Road Construction Updates
Posted on 06/01/2017

 Ft. Union Blvd.  Sewer Line:

A sewer line replacement project will continue through most of the summer on Fort Union Boulevard between 3000 East and Wasatch Boulevard.  Expect delays as the road will shift to one lane on a regular basis.

Wasatch Blvd. “High T” Intersection:

UDOT will install a new “High T” intersection at the LaCaille turnoff on Wasatch Blvd. this summer and into early autumn. Expect delays as crews work to improve traffic flow in the area. Part of the intersection will be closed in late August or early September.

Fort Union/Highland Intersection Widening:

Rocky Mountain Power has completed placement of new power poles to make room for extra lanes at the Fort Union / Highland Dr. intersection. Crews will continue to move power lines before construction begins in Spring 2018.

9400 South Closure:

Beginning in July, 9400 South (in Sandy) will close for a few nights, so crews can install a new bridge. The closure will affect commuters who travel through Cottonwood Heights.
