CHPD Recovers Stolen Items
Posted on 12/07/2015
On December 4, CHPD officers responded to a call of suspicious activity at Towncrest Drive Ft. Union Blvd. Residents reported seeing a man and a woman walking the area with backpacks driving a rented U-Haul pickup truck.

When they arrived, officers follwed the truck and pulled the driver over near the Coventry Assisted Living Center on 2300 East.

After interviewing the suspects, officers searched the truck and found approximately 500 jewelry items, a computer printer, some tools and a camera.

Officers also discovered that the suspects both had several outstanding felony warrants related to burglaries.

Some of the jewelry and other items have already been returned to victims who had previously reported them as stolen.

Some of the items have yet to be identified. If you can identify some of the items in these pictures (see slideshow below), contact Det. Kevin Wyatt at 801-944-7100.
