This October, Whitmore Library is offering “spooktacular” fun for the whole family, whether it’s book clubs, a pajama storytime or science fun for the school-age kids. Programs start Oct. 5.

New Weekly Programs:

Camp Read (Grades K to 1)

Tuesdays at 4:15 p.m., starting Oct. 10

Pajama Storytime (all ages)

Thursdays at 7 p.m., starting Oct. 5

Maker Tweens (ages 8 to 12)

Thursdays at 4:15 p.m., starting Oct. 12

Maker Teens (ages 13 to 17)

Mondays at 4 p.m., starting Oct. 10


New Monthly Programs:

Great Reads (ages 6 to 8)

Second Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Great Reads (ages 8 to 12)

Fourth Tuesday at 7 p.m.


Special Programs:

There’s A Monster in My Bathtub          (all ages)

Oct. 25 at 10:15 a.m.

Camp Spooky (school ages)

Oct. 25 at 4:15 p.m.


Hundreds of people looked to the skies last month at Whitmore Library, which hosted a solar eclipse viewing party on Aug. 21. Special glasses for viewing the eclipse were handed out and the library held a special Eclipse Storytime. Utah experienced a partial eclipse of roughly 90 percent blockage of the sun
