Special Plans

Provided below are numerous plans and studies that have been prepared for Cottonwood Heights and will be used in planning for the future of the city.

2017 Affordable Housing Report
This report is an update to the 2005 Affordable Housing Plan, and was done in compliance with the Utah State Code. The report contains an analysis of current and projected affordable housing needs in Cottonwood Heights.


Bicycle and Trails Master Plan
This plan was adopted as an addendum to the city's General Plan, and seeks to improve the connectivity of bicycle and pedestrian routes throughout Cottonwood Heights.

Wasatch Boulevard Gravel Pit Area Master Plan 
This is a comprehensive analysis of the market, land use, and transportation on Wasatch Boulevard near the existing gravel pit.  

Fort Union Area Plan and Land Use Zoning Proposal 
This is a comprehensive plan for the future of the Fort Union corridor, and accounts for land use, transportation, and economic development along the corridor. 

Economic Study of the Fort Union Corridor

This is a comprehensive analysis of the market, land use, and transportation on Fort Union Boulevard.  This study was completed by Zion's Bank Public Finance, Landmark Design, and InterPlan.

Fort Union Corridor Study
This study was completed by Public Administration graduate students from Brigham Young University.

Fort Union Future Visioning Study
This study focuses on streetscape, transit options, and redevelopment opportunities, and was completed by City Planning graduate students from the University of Utah.
