Utah One Stop for Business Licensing
ONESTOP ONLINE BUSINESS REGISTRATION
You can register a new business online with the State of Utah at the One Stop Online Business Registration System at www.business.utah.gov/registration. This will allow a new business owner to complete the registration process as quickly as possible.
This is a secure online service available 24 hours, 7 days a week. It will guide you through a series of questions designed to comply with federal and state registration requirements.
By using this system you will be able to register your business with the:
- Utah Department of Commerce
- Utah Department of Environmental Quality
- Utah Department of Workforce Services
- Utah Labor Commission
- Utah State Tax Commission
A Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN) can also be obtained.
In general, most businesses will be able to register a new business with the OneStop Online Business Registration System. However, please be aware that you will NOT be able to register your business online if any of the following apply:
- Adding another business location to an existing Utah business.
- Register a real estate investment trust in Utah
- Register a business trust or business estate in Utah
- Register a personal service corporation or plan administrators
- Register a special event
